For me, most Lexia versions and all DiagBox v5, v6, v7 and v8 work fine on my old Citroen C8, but I only use it a couple of times a year to diagnose an issue or to reset an error or regenerate the FAP and before the yearly (National Car Test) to ensure all is fine.

VirtualBox is much faster and lighter footprint (needing less resources). Personally, I have few DiagBox installations on both VirtualBox and VMware Workstaion Pro on all Windows releases (just for test and fun).

If you do not want to change Windows 64 bit, Linux or if you have Apple (VMware does not run on Mac OS), you can install VirtualBox or Vmware Workstation Player (both are free) or Vmware Workstation Pro (not free), where you can install any operating system (Windows, Mac OS or Linux 64 or 32 bit).
